by burninghousezendo

Jiro Osho Fernando Afable, the Vice Abbot of Dai Bosatsu Zendo Kongo-ji (http://www.daibosatsu.org/), came to Burning House Zendo (https://burninghousezendo.org/) in Baltimore to offer a public talk on Zen Buddhism and lead a retreat the weekend of March 14th-16th, 2003.

The talk was offered at 7:00PM on Friday, March 14th at St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ, 3400 Norman Avenue, one (long) block from Burning House. It was free and open to the general public.

The retreat was held from 8:00AM-5:00PM on March 15th and 8:00AM-12:30PM on March 16th. Rev. Afable offered two Dharma talks and was available for private interviews.

This was the first time a retreat with a Zen teacher was offered at Burning House, and we gratefully thank Jiro for joining us and all those who participated and lent their efforts to strengthening our practice together.
